Hello Vinci Park Families!
As we get ready for the upcoming holidays and winter break, I want to take the time to thank you for your support and commitment these past few months. In just four months, we’ve had a movie night, a fall festival, two restaurant dine-outs and a catalogue fundraiser! With your hard work and involvement, together we have surpassed our fundraising goals. The funds will go towards supporting additional educational workshops and programs.
Our accomplishments would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the PTA Executive Board. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that is needed to get done in order to run an effective PTA and I could not be more proud of the work that our board has done these past few months. Because of the countless hours planning, coordinating, and executing, we were able to accomplish more than we had originally expected and the ones that will benefit from it are our students!
I would also like to extend a huge thank you to our parent volunteers who have lent us a hand at our events. Without your help we couldn’t have put on such great events. We appreciate all that you do for the kids!
Lastly, I’d like to thank the teachers and staff of Vinci Park Elementary for your tireless work and dedication. The work you do is crucial to the development of our children. Your support and partnership means everything!
I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season and a very prosperous and healthy new year!
Barb Dionicio, PTA President
I love this time of year. We get snuggly and warm, and look forward to time with our families and friends. We really have so much to be thankful for. The generosity of families is amazing and greatly appreciated.
Conferences are over, and students are full swing into their classes. Thank you for the time you spent with each of your teachers. We so appreciate the support and camaraderie we experience with our parent community. What a whirlwind of a year it has been with the new Language Arts adoption!! Our teachers have worked so incredibly hard this year preparing, training, and networking with other educators. Your children are now showing the benefits of all that hard work! They are learning the same basic concepts as in the past, only they are exploring those concepts more deeply and with higher rigor. It’s exciting to see our children actively engaged in higher level academic conversations!!.
I would like extend a special thank you to our PTA, SSC and all of the staff members, that support our school. Without you, our students could not be successful. I am particularly thankful for each teacher and dedicated staff member on this campus. Every day they choose to be here with integrity, enthusiasm, and professionalism. On behalf of the entire school faculty and staff at Vinci Park, I wish you and your entire family peace, joy, happiness and excellent health.

Acknowledgements & Volunteer Spotlight
On November 15th, parent volunteers, staff and teachers all worked together to help distribute the 2,049 Otis Spunkmeyer orders that were sold! Led by our Treasurer, Marygrace Tobias, the multi-purpose room was converted into a distribution center and everything was labeled and organized for easy pickup. It was an entire day’s work but we successfully got everyone’s orders in the right hands!
I want to recognize a few parent volunteers that really went above and beyond that day….Elaine Siman, Natasha Lakeman, Jennifer Johnson, Michelle Esporma, and Indira Collado. These ladies hauled heavy boxes, accounted for the orders, and made sure all the kids prizes were in the boxes. This took hours and yet they did it all with a smile on their face. Thank you ladies so much! You are so amazing!
